You always have the option to not provide information by choosing not to become a User or by not using the particular feature of the Site for which the information is being collected.
If you are a Subscriber, we collect your credit card information for billing purposes.
We also automatically track certain information about you based upon your behaviour on our Site. We use this information to do internal research on our users' demographics, interests, and behaviour to better understand, protect and serve you and our community. This information may include the URL that you just came from (whether this URL is on our Site or not), which URL you next go to (whether this URL is on our Site or not), your computer browser information, and your IP address.

We also use Google, as a third party vendor, to serve Tuhunga ads on other websites. Google uses what it calls a "DART cookie" to enable it to serve ads to users based on their visits to participating websites. As a result of our use of Google as a vendor and the use of DART cookies, the ads that you will be served on the internet may in some cases be based on your visit to our Site. We will share your personal information with third parties only in the ways that are described in this privacy statement. We do not sell your personal information to third parties. The following describes some of the ways that your information may be disclosed in the normal scope of business to provide our services:
Subscribers. In general, information you import into the Site as well as information generated by you during normal operation of the Site is available to other persons - whether they are Subscribers, staff members or others - to whom you give access to your account or to whom you give access to the information through the normal operation of the Site.
Payment Information. We use credit card and other payment information (such as PayPal email addresses) you submit to us on the Site to process payments you make through the Site. We do not store credit card or other payment method information. Financial institutions (like PayPal) have the sole and complete responsibility for the storage of credit card and payment information.
Anonymized Aggregated Data. We aggregate and anonymize information including (but not limited to) size of datasets, number of datasets, frequency of dataset updates, number of monitored results, total data analyzed, and number of datasets shared with other Subscribers, and may disclose such information in a non-personally identifiable manner. However, in these situations, we do not disclose any information that could be used to identify you personally.
Forum. If you post on our forum or blog your username and other information you include is displayed in your postings or comments, and is therefore available to the public. All of your activities in the public areas of the forum will be identifiable to your User ID, and other people can see your published content.
Subsidiaries and Affiliates; Service Providers. We may from time to time use the services of affiliates, subsidiaries and unrelated service providers in the operation of the Site, and may disclose personal information to them in the course of our use of their services. For example, we may use the services of third-party hosting companies to host the operation of the Site. This may involve the hosting of data, including personal information, on servers operated by those hosting companies. We take care to use only service providers that we believe are reputable and able to live up to our and your expectations, including about the handling of confidential information.
Legal Requests; Emergencies. Azanto may disclose your personal information (a) to any governmental authority as part of an investigation to determine our compliance with any applicable law, rule, or regulation (including privacy laws, rules, and regulations), (b) in response to a court order, subpoena, discovery request, or other lawful judicial or administrative proceeding, (c) as otherwise required under any applicable law, rule, or regulation, and (d) in good faith, to protect or defend the rights or property of Azanto and other users.
Invitations: You have the opportunity to invite others to work with you through your Tuhunga account. To do that, Tuhunga asks you to import or to manually enter your contacts' email addresses. As you direct, we then send them an invitation on your behalf or other notices reflecting changes you make to their status in your account.
If you click on a link to a third-party site, you will leave the Tuhunga site and go to the site you selected. If you elect to use a third-party product or service in conjunction with Tuhunga, you yourself enter into a license agreement with the third party for use of their product or service and their use of your data. Because we cannot control the activities of third parties, we cannot accept responsibility for any use of your personally identifiable information by such third parties, and we cannot guarantee that they will adhere to the same privacy practices as Azanto. We encourage you to review the privacy statements of any other service provider from whom you request services. If you visit a third party website that is linked to a Tuhunga site, you should read that site's privacy statement before providing any personally identifiable information.

Tuhunga is a complex network that allows Subscribers to connect with one another. This network enables Subscribers to share their data with each other. When one Subscriber shares a dataset with a second Subscriber, and the second Subscriber creates a visualization using the shared dataset, the second Subscriber controls the visualization.
Once the first Subscriber's account is closed, the dataset shared with the second Subscriber will no longer be accessible to the second Subscriber. However, any results (for example, tables, charts, or maps) that the second Subscriber has created will remain accessible to the second Subscriber, as well as to any other Subscriber or User that has been granted access to the results.
Once the first Subscriber's account has been closed, any results that the first Subscriber has generated will no longer be accessible to any other Subscriber or User.
If you wish to retain control of your datasets and any visualizations created with those datasets, you should not share them with other Subscribers or Users.
Azanto cannot guarantee the deletion of all your information.
When a customer chooses to close an account we will remove your information from our marketing and billing systems. This will ensure that there are not further mailings or billings directed towards the canceled user.
We may update this privacy statement to reflect changes to our information practices. If we make any material changes we will notify you by email (sent to the e-mail address specified in your account) or by means of a notice on this Site prior to the change becoming effective.
